Shetland sheep wool is a dual coated wool with light crimp and a soft hand. It usually measures around 23 microns. Like Icelandics, they have a tog (the longer, coarser outer fibers) and a thel (the softer undercoat). Lavender consistently produces soft, beautiful fleeces with a beautiful shine and crimp. It is a bright silver grey in color with a little bit of peppering.

Price is per ounce of fiber. (16 ounces = 1 pound)

Staple length is approximately 2".
